TRAINING

The Brandwood Centre has successfully secured continuation funding from the European Social Fund to enable us to deliver our Train-to-Gain programme offering free back-to-work training, accredited courses, drop-in sessions and work experience for long-term unemployed/inactive and single parents.  By providing these services we aim to raise confidence, skills and knowledge and increase employability prospects.

If you are a single parent, unemployed or inactive, take a look at what’s on offer below. You never know where it could take you!

Whilst the Centre remains closed, to protect both our staff and customers, we are still able to offer a selection of online courses, remote CV support and socially distanced work placements to those who are single parents and/or unemployed/inactive.  Please see below for more details

Level 1 Introductory Certificate in Food Safety for Catering

Level 1 Introductory Certificate in Health and Safety at Work

Wednesday 2nd December 09:30am - 2.30pm

Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work

Next Course: Wednesday 9th December (ONLINE) 9.30am-1.00pm + Wednesday 16th December (Centre Based Practical Assessment) 9.00am-12.30pm or 1.00pm-4.30pm

Level 2 Understanding Mental Health

Friday 11th December 9.00am - 5.30pm

Sector-based Work Academy Programme (SWAP) - IT Digital Skills - Ocado

Monday 30th November - Friday 11th December (Weekdays) 9.00am - 4:00pm

Work Placement Opportunities

Looking for hands on practical skills to make your CV stand out to employers? Brandwood Centre offers an 8-13 week work placement package. Apply for positions such as a Gardner, Employment Advisor, Cleaner, Receptionist, Social Media Advisor, Course Administrator, General Assistant, Community Worker, Learning Mentor or Data Inputter.
